Grounds Maintenance Division

Our primary objective is helping our clients to improve and protect the health, vigor, and appearance of their valuable landscape assets while simultaneously embracing sound, ecological and environmental stewardship.

At Skyhorse Station our core philosophy for Landscape Maintenance emphasizes the latest Plant Health Care concepts and technologies. Landscape professionals around the U.S. have modified the old traditional Integrated Pest Management. The new IPM is referred to as "Intelligent Plant Management!"

Prudent grounds managers understand that unfavorable site-specific environmental conditions coupled with inappropriate maintenance practices have allowed and/or created poor growing conditions in our urban landscapes. Michigan Department of Agriculture, et.al., believes that poor quality plant material is largely caused by poor growing conditions and that most pest damage is a result of, rather than the cause of these conditions. Non-pest disorders are usually the main cause of mortality, failed health/vigor and appearance of your turf, tree and shrubs.

Skyhorse Station offers pro-active and preventative approaches with strategies to identify and alter the often harsh and adverse conditions occuring onsite in our urban environments. By reversing and correcting poor growing conditions, while enhancing natural controls, pest populations of insects, diseases and weeds can be discouraged and suppressed-----without using chemical pesticides.

Our trained turf/arbor professionals are capable of customizing a program for your specific site and microclimate. We will utilize all available, and industry accepted environmental/cultural, biological and mechanical practices and tactics. Our IPM -Intelligent Plant Management (emphasizing Plant Health Care) would boost plant health & vigor to match our client's expectations of appearance and their budget.

In summation, our goal is to design and implement an effective, practical, economical and environmentally sound turf, tree, shrub, and annual bed/grounds
Maintenance program.
